Go 6.2  miles West of Shubuta on CR 210, turn left on CR 218 and go 1.7 miles.
Road turns into Springhill Church Rd.  Cemetery is on the left in a Grove of trees across pasture.

Dr. E. W. Rogers; born Jan. 17, 1865 – died Nov. 3, 1911  “Farewell” with hands
     “His words were kindness,
      His deeds were love,
      His spirit humble,
      He rests above.”

Emanuel Rogers; died Dec. 26, 1911  “Farewell” with shaking hands
     “A light from our household is gone.
     A voice we loved is stilled.
     A place   (rest unknown)

Sacred to the memory of Phillip M. James who was born May 5th, 1811 and died August 4th 1862
     Aged 51 years and 3 months   (*Note: on the 1820 census in Wayne county)

Following two graves enclosed in border
    In Memory of Elezebeth Husband; died 1878, age 80 years  (Sandstone headstone with dove emblem)
         “A precious one from us is gone,
           a voice we love is still;
           a place is vacant in our home,
           which never can be filled.

    In Memory of J. Husbands; died 1873, age 80 years
         {sandstone headstone is broken, large oak tree growing at base of grave site}
        *I orginally had dates wrong due to the age of headstone and the unability to read it.  This is corrected date.

 Nancy Tripp, wife of V. W. Slaten; born in south Carolina June 29, 1826 – died Oct. 7, 1915
      “Precious is the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”  (Marble headstone)

 In Memory of V. W. Slaten, husband of N. S. Slaten; born March 18, 1827 – died Feb. 15, 1891
      Aged 83 years, 10 mos. & 28 das
      “Safely anchored in the harbor of eternal rest.”
      (Monument has Masonic emblem on broken/sunken cement slab)
 

 In Memory of Joseph Franklin, son of V. W. & N. S. Slaten;
      Born June 1, 1868 – died Oct. 4, 1874
      Aged 6 years, 4 mos. & 3 das  (headstone marble on cement slab)

 William Robert Slaten; born Dec. 29, 1852 – died Nov. 4, 1901   (Masonic Emblem on headstone)
      “To him we trust a place is given among the Saints with Christ in Heaven.”

 Eliza Ann Gordan, wife of W. R. Slaten; born Dec. 8, 1856 – died July 5, 1904
      “She was a kind and affectionate wife, a fond mother, and a friend to all.”

James Grover, son of Jesse & Julia Carter; born Aug. 30, 1884 –died Oct. 8, 1905 (marble headstone)
      “When we our pilgrims path have trod oh may we find him with our God.”
