Relative gathered them up and took them home.
Supposedly Atkinson
graves. Footstones have the initials of W. A. A. and C. A. "W.A.A."
and "C.A", is probably William A. Atkinson and his wife Caroline
Covington Atkinson (Died: Dec 30, 1922). Story has it that a son
destroyed the headstones.
WILLIAM A ATKINSON, Enlisted in Lauderdale County
in the 6th Miss Caverly. William is the son of Hugh Atkinson, an early
settler of Clarke County, MS. info from Cynthia (Atkinson) Fowler
